it was up guys Anton here and welcome to my dark hotel room I wanted to make this video really quick while I'm on vacation here in New York because we keep getting the question of how much does it cost to start drop shipping and to be honest it can cost you a lot of money or it can cost you almost nothing and you know probably contrary to what a lot of people would believe you're actually better off with the option that costs almost no money because that's the right way to do it it doesn't mean investing in your business is bad but it means all of the options that you're going to find as you do your research about drop shipping that want to charge you a lot of money to get started they're more often than not nothing more than just middlemen that are going to charge you for access for things like to build your website or for access to sell their products and whenever anyone wants to charge you for things like that especially when you're a total beginner that means they're only trying to make money off of you as someone who they know is new to the industry companies like that that want to charge you for access to sell their products they are middlemen companies that say we're going to build you a website it's going to have products ready to dropship all you have to do is plug in your PayPal account that's never going to make you money that's the wrong way to do it and those are the ways that actually cost you a lot of money to get started okay again never do that not just because you know there's an easier way but because that will never be successful it's nothing more than I don't want to call it a scam but it basically is it's a losing proposition for the person on the retail side which would be you or which would be me and it's a winning proposition for those companies that charge you now the other way to do it that costs almost nothing again this is a way that you could actually be profitable is if you go ahead and build your own store and you go ahead and get approved with real suppliers now what does that mean well first of all when building your own real store we use Shopify that's the ecommerce platform of tourists choice it's amazing we've been only building stores with them for the past like three or four years and the only reason we haven't been using them longer is because they weren't around back then but Shopify it's typically $29 a month we actually have a special deal where you can get 21 day free trial and then save 10% every month so you get 21 days for free and then what about you know $24 a month when five dollars a month something like that well well worth it so that is your startup cost okay and yes I mean that you know three for 21 days has been about $25 a month that's what it's going to cost you to get started as far as getting products to sell remember we're working on the dropship model so you're not paying for these items until you sell them and if you use the real suppliers that'll show you how to get approved with those are the ones that will never charge you for access so there is no upfront cost okay the only one you want to work with will never charge you until you're sending them orders and they'll charge you for the orders okay so that's your win-win as far as other costs you might think of like traffic traffic something that yes I do recommend spending money on the beauty of using the dropship model is that you can actually get $100 for free from Google to start using and by the time you spend $100 you should definitely get at least one sale in on your store which you can then go ahead take that profit and reinvest it so hope that answers your question does and I really hope that shows you where not to waste money there's so many people waste money in that first group that I spoke about when really it could be so much easier and so much cheaper if you do things the right way so listen if you got value from this video please do give it a like or a thumbs up and if you have any questions definitely post them below I'm very active in the comments and more than happy to elaborate on anything you need help with so go ahead leave a comment and I will get back to you in the comment section thank you everybody

purchased from you so this makes it a very low risk way of doing business and the reason why it's really really attractive and it's got very low barriers to entry as well so i'm sure you've heard about drop shipping literally everywhere on the internet right now because it's a very hot and popular business model you don't have to spend anything on inventory in bulk in advance which minimizes the risk of you having to tie up your money and stuff okay so in today's video i'm going to be talking about the sort of cost to expect when you're starting a drop shipping business okay so now one thing i'm gonna say is the cost will normally differ depending on you know what you're trying to sell on the internet obviously so these are just sort of estimates and guides based on my own experience so personally i started my business in 2015 my boutique business in 2015 and i started with around 300 pounds which is less than which is probably around 500 and i i predominantly spend this on things like web hosting and some sample inventory so these were the two key things that i spend my money on okay so it really depends on how much you are willing to invest to get started now the beauty about dropshipping is the fact that you can start drop shipping with no money and i've done so many videos on this channel guys where i talk about how to start a drop shipping business with no money whatsoever okay you can study the free route or you can study the paid route now if you're going to be doing things for free then you need to understand that it's going to take a lot of your time because you're going to have to put a lot of the pieces together yourself okay that's pretty much what it is so you need to decide on whether or not you want to invest your time or you want to invest your money either way you're going to have to sacrifice something in order to make this work okay so obviously the first thing when it comes to starting the drop shipping business is finding vendors and i've talked about so many different platforms here on this channel where you can find dropshipping vendors is one big one for clothing um salehoo dot com sell power is an online directory with hundreds and hundreds of drop shipping suppliers um around different niches uh worldwide brands is another one you can check out again for drop shipping where to find drop shipping vendors you can do this for free by just researching for vendors or you can just go and pay for a supplier directory and get access to all the vendors in one place thereby saving you the time so like i said if you wanted to do this for free it's going to take you time maybe going on google searching for all that information on the best dropshipping vendors it's just going to take you more time to find that information and you may not find all that information if you're trying to do it for free platforms like sell can save you the stress because there's already a directory of hundreds of dropshipping vendors out there and you can invest a one-time fee of 97 guys and gain lifetime access to the directory guys it's got almost a thousand vendors right now as we speak all in one place for you so up to website if you're doing dropshipping because no one's going to take you seriously and you're not going to make any money if you don't have a website so this is going to be one of your biggest investments on a website so like i said shopify is 29 a month on but it's free to join for 14 days you can use that as a way to test the platform i'll leave a link below this video to shopify um you will need to create your website yourself okay so 29 is only for the web hosting but you still have to go out there and figure out how to create your website yourself shopify do have a good a few good videos and tutorials that teach you how to do it yourself it's very beginner friendly as well hence why it's very popular especially for beginners so you can use shopify to create your website so 29 a month works out at about almost 400 a year so that's your second sort of expense okay so that's one of your biggest expense that you're probably going to have in terms of cost when it comes to drop shipping okay now if you guys want to save yourself the stress of creating your website you know you can also check out where you get your own website pre-loaded with inventory guys it's ready for you to literally go out there and sell so your website is being designed for you and this also comes with web hosting included so you don't have to pay anything monthly extra and it's only a one-time fee of 399 guys and this covers for the web design the web hosting so it works out much much cheaper than shopify guys and like i said you're not paying anything monthly on an ongoing basis guys imagine getting the hosting the web design the products the suppliers everything for 3.99 a year like it's literally an all-in-one drop shipping platform in one place okay so that's one other thing to think
